Home page shelves restored, accessibility statement rewritten

Version 1.0.102 · September 15, 2026

Release 1.0.101 and 1.0.102.

  • The home page shelves and the Trending shelf page had come back empty after ratings moved to books; they are back.
  • The Accessibility page now follows the W3C's structure for an accessibility statement: our commitment, the measures we take, our conformance status with WCAG 2.1 level AA, how to give feedback, the browsers and assistive technologies we test with, the technologies the site relies on, and how we assess it.

Star ratings on books, comments everywhere

Version 1.0.100 · September 15, 2026

Release 1.0.99 and 1.0.100.

  • Star ratings are now given to a book, on the book page, not to each chapter. Chapter pages show the book's average at the top. Written reviews are gone: a rating is stars only, and words go in comments.
  • The series page shows the average across its books, weighted by how many ratings each book has, along with its follower count.
  • Chapter ratings given before this release were removed rather than carried over, because ratings are now on books.
  • You can comment on a series and on a book, not only on a chapter. Each comment shows where it was made, and replies and reporting work the same everywhere.
  • Links are no longer part of chapter text, descriptions or comments. A pasted link keeps its plain text; the links on an author profile are the place for your website and social accounts. Links already saved in chapters were turned into plain text.
  • Book descriptions are shown as the text you typed.

Star ratings say what happened

Version 1.0.98 · September 15, 2026

Release 1.0.98.

  • Rating a chapter now tells a screen reader what was chosen and the new average, and the star you picked reads as pressed. Before this the stars only changed colour.

Focus fix timing and chapter link names

Version 1.0.97 · September 15, 2026

Release 1.0.97.

  • The focus fix for sending forms now works in Chrome, which had not yet moved focus off the disabled button at the moment the fix ran.
  • The previous and next chapter links are named "Previous" or "Next" followed by the chapter's title, matching the words on screen, with the arrows left out of the spoken name.

Focus fix covers every form

Version 1.0.96 · September 15, 2026

Release 1.0.96.

  • The focus fix from 1.0.94 now applies to every form, including comments and reviews, which mark their button differently while sending.
