Renaming a series keeps its old links working
Version 1.0.48 · September 11, 2026
Release 1.0.48.
- Renaming a series now updates its web address to match the new title. Editing a classics title from the admin page left the old address in place, so a series could show one title and sit at another one's link.
- Links built before a rename still work. The old address sends readers to the current one, and that covers the books and chapters underneath the series as well as the series page itself.
A clearer site name on placeholder covers
Version 1.0.47 · September 11, 2026
Release 1.0.47.
- The site name printed at the foot of a book cover that has no artwork is easier to read. It was faint enough to fall below the contrast level the rest of the site meets.
The classics library can grow
Version 1.0.46 · September 10, 2026
Release 1.0.46.
- Public domain novels are now added to the Classics section through an import tool rather than by hand. Each book is checked before it is published, and books that belong together (a story and its sequel) are grouped as one series with the books in reading order.
- Imported chapters read as flowing paragraphs, and verse keeps its line breaks.
Sign-in links are no longer counted per network address
Version 1.0.44 · September 10, 2026
Release 1.0.44.
- Sign-in link requests used to be capped at ten a day for everyone sharing one network address, which could lock out a whole household, office or mobile carrier. That cap is gone. The limits per email address stay: one link a minute, five a day, cleared as soon as you sign in.
Claim-username errors at the field
Version 1.0.43 · September 10, 2026
Release 1.0.43.
- The claim-username page shows a too-short, badly formed or taken username as a message under the field, with the field marked and focused, instead of a pop-up. A screen reader reads the reason with the field, like every other form on the site.
